MY PIECE

Yesterday, in my effort to update myself on what is really happening with our country amidsts the chaos the Garcillano tapes, the jueteng issue, the cheating in the 2004 elections and the impeachment case againts our present president, I was so curious how the congressman will cast their votes.
So straight from work and yes, form night shift, I watched the representatives on what they have to say. The votes are if they are to dismissed the impeachment case on GMA....Yes votes came out victorious even before all the Congressman have casted their final say. The majority of them (well obviously close allies and pro-GMA's) have all said their side and explained it. From what I noticed, most of them reasoned that it is mere technicalities, that you cannot impeach a President twice in a year.
Sometimes, I don't understand the law, if it's makin me dumb or what...well am not good in Political Science either back in college. But I just wanna ask those 100 plus congressmen who have casted to dismiss the impeachment proceedings. They are to be the representatives of the people and that according to statistics, most of the people would like the impeachment to proceed. But due to law and technicality, I guess they have rubbished the obvious.
GMA have admitted to the people that he talked to Garcillano 15 times, whatever her agenda was we don't know, her family paricularly the first gentleman and his son Mikey had a pending jueteng issue, yet they are free to go out of the country and I guess busy and enjoy the states.
I guess the Congress may have had the final say on what is really to be done...but thinkin bout it makes me sad...if there are really technical excuses, arent you still liable to answer to the people arent you gonna defend your name and clear the issue once and for all?
Funny how their ideals and aspirations have changed, the congressman should be biased on the Filipino people and not to the President.
After all the people has the ultimate power becoz they are the ones who have put you all to your postion and they can also be the one to take that away from you.

Yes this is my piece, I want the impeachment to proceed.

But my voice wasnt heard at all...the 158 Congresmman was the mere speaker of allged 80 million Filipino people.

They could be right I guess, but they could be wrong.
