Conversation with a Taxi Driver

I decided to take the cab again on my way to work...it was past 12 am and I was pretty lazy going to work (as always) especially now that I dont have anyone to be with on my way to work.(it's Chelo's off) It was 11pm and I still havent get readied any of my clothes, I havent even take my bath again and I slept watching the TV...was eager to watch the news and was happy about the fireworks display at Luneta Park ( a popular park in Manila)It was Manila Day yesterday and also oath taking of the elected mayor so the event was really should I say grandeous....not to mention the congress has already proclaimes our newly elected President and Vice President of The Philippines (Iam not excited or happy both I did not vote)heheh..but nor did I vote for FPJ (the closest rival of the President) I voted for a new one who was never a politician, not an actor but just a new guy and really a God fearing individual yes I voted for Brother Eddie ( a known Christian leader in the Philippines, leading a Christian group)
But going back to the topic, I was kinda afraid to take a cab but what can I do like I told you there are no known ways or facility to take me to work at that time in Nagtahan so I took a cab, he was an old man and (not as old as my Dad though, hehehe) and as soon as I rode on the cab he was listening to an AM radio and the news was about the supposed proclamation of the President and the Vice president and then zoom...he talked, well i have been riding cabs but it was so seldom that a driver would initiate a conversation, and break the ice, I can tell that he did not vote for GMA, I did not asked whom he voted for, but anyways he has a point, or a concern that got me thinking.
He was asking how calm the commitee on rules in congress is from the majority (siding or known supporter of GMA) and how calm the massive fraud complains fell on deaf ears....
I am not really updated on the news I wasnt aware that they finished counting the ballots 4 days ago...and totalled all the votes and then they reached on GMA being the winner ahead of FPJ by more than a million votes, and that was 2 days after the lawyers of the opposition bets walked out of the session hall.
There were really concerns and they never heard them they even told the media and the people that the opposition was the one delaying the canvassing and they even pressumed that because of their complains we could not have a proclaimed president by June 30...that was a week ago, and how ironic, it was just 2 days after they walked out and then...GMA won...i guess any fool wouldnt notice that...heheh
Not that Iam saying that everyone is fool, maybe in a way, but Filipinos tend to side on the thing that you will never have to argue or wont even question things...nobody is reacting.I guess when youre in power you really can control things and people. I wish I did not vote, for one,I knew this would come, I know there were a lot of frauds, and basically coming from the side of those who were in power.
As I was heading leviste I told the cab driver that if there were something really wrong with GMA's proclamation, the people will soon know and will act to avoid it...I just dont want another Edsa 4...
Till later, Iam excited for my off I may or may not post for the next two days...I will try though
